Yes. Both Hindu and Buddhist monuments require modest clothing. Please ensure your shoulders and knees are covered (no sleeveless tank tops, short skirts, or brief shorts). You will also be required to remove your shoes before stepping into the inner temple courtyards or monastery halls. Leather items (belts, bags) are prohibited inside certain sections of Pashupatinath.
